Education
Chestermere is part of the Rocky View School Division
#41, headquartered in Airdrie, TEL:(403)
945-4000.
Elementary Schools students are
bussed to either Prairie Waters Elementary School
in Chestermere (grades K-4), Indus
Elementary School (rural, grades K-5) a few minutes south of Chestermere (grades K-5),
or Langdon School (rural, grades K-7), just east of Chestermere.
Middle School students (grades 5 - 8) are
bussed to the Chestermere
Lake Middle School, located in Chestermere.
High School students are bussed to Chestermere High School,
located five kilometres away.
Catholic Schools - Westmere,
St. Gabriel the Archangel,
currently offers K-grade 9, with grade 10 offered in 2005.
Alternative Schools - The
Prince of Peace Lutheran School (pre- Gr. 12), is only minutes away to
the west, and is part of the Rocky View School Division.
Rocky View Learning
Connection offers flexible learning options for grades 1 - 12. A
branch is located in the Chestermere town hall.
Post Secondary Education - Chestermere
students and adults can enroll in secondary education through the various institutes in
Calgary such as the University of Calgary,
Mount Royal College, and the
Southern Alberta
Institute of Technology (SAIT).
